Traces, metrics, and RAG-assisted root cause

An observability stack that instruments FastAPI microservices with OpenTelemetry and streams traces, logs, and metrics into ClickHouse, with a RAG assistant that suggests incident root causes. Instrumented three FastAPI microservices with OpenTelemetry, streaming telemetry via Redpanda into ClickHouse and sustaining ~8K events/sec in k6 load tests. Rewrote the payment service in Go with gRPC for internal calls, cutting p99 latency from ~210 ms to 45 ms. Added a RAG incident assistant: a fine-tuned DistilBERT tags incidents, runbooks are retrieved from Qdrant, and the Claude API suggests root causes, rejecting answers without evidence citations.

Schema-validated Kafka events with safe replay

A Go service that validates Kafka events against versioned JSON Schema contracts, quarantines bad payloads with full lineage, and safely replays them once fixed. Validated Kafka events against versioned JSON Schema contracts, quarantining bad payloads to PostgreSQL with full lineage for later replay. Built an idempotent, Redis-deduplicated replay path with tests covering duplicate delivery and mid-replay schema changes. Deployed on Kubernetes with Helm and AWS provisioned via Terraform; verified zero event loss with pod-kill chaos tests and GitHub Actions CI.

An LLM-powered retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) application that answers natural-language questions over a large knowledge base using semantic search and source-grounded generation. Engineered the retrieval pipeline, including chunking, embeddings, and vector search over pgvector with reranking, to improve relevance and minimize hallucinations. Added a RAGAS-style evaluation harness to catch quality regressions and flag low-confidence responses before output. Containerized the service with Docker.
